A nursing home in Stourport, Worcestershire, has entered administration after receiving a bad review of its care standards last year.
Administrators Paul Addison and David Bennett of Grant Thornton LLP came in to manage Gentle Care Services Limited, which trades as Lickhill Manor Nursing Home, on 22 June.
The administrators’ priority is to find a buyer for the home, and to ensure proper standards for the future.

A review conducted in December 2010 uncovered 13 areas requiring urgent improvement, as well as “major concerns” regarding its cleanliness and infection control.
Mr Addison said, “We are liaising with the Care Quality Commission and all other regulatory bodies to ensure the home continues to be run in an appropriate manner.”
Operating across North Yorkshire, the company has two divisions, one that provides IT infrastructure and one offering renewable energy solutions, including solar PV systems and electric vehicle charging points.
The group specialises in supplying and installing UPVC windows, doors and conservatories in a wide array of styles. Bespoke bathroom panelling and high-quality guttering products are also provided by the two companies.
The company is a well-regarded specialist provider of hygienic wall, floor, and ceiling cladding systems. To complement its core supply of PVC cladding, the business offers hot welded joints to prevent the build-up of bacteria and can supply stainles...
