Administrators are looking to find a buyer for the trade and assets of Norfolk coach holiday firm, Harrison Holidays, which fell into administration on Tuesday.
The company called in administrators from Parker Andrews earlier this week, and they immediately launched an effort to find a solution for the 220 customers that have holidays booked, who have paid deposits of around £250,000.
"Following a difficult trading period and cash flow problems, the director has taken the decision that the companies should cease trading with immediate effect," a Parker Andrews representative said in a statement. "There is no cash available to trade the business under administration and so all staff have been made redundant and Parker Andrews are assisting the employees with their redundancy claims."
Harrison Holidays has been working from its Lynn base for the last 50 years. The administration had been planned to ensure that no current customers were stranded abroad.
Parker Andrews is now contacting everyone who has booked and paid for outstanding trips and have set up a helpline for people due to travel this month, on 0845 003 6832. BCH, Harrison Holidays' insurers, are to operate most of the trips due to leave this month, and possibly further into the future as well.
