Global Events LLP, the concert organising company that staged last month's Michael Jackson memorial concert in Cardiff, is undergoing a comprehensive business review, after entering administration.
The Bristol-based company is in the hands of administrators from insolvency practitioners RSM Tenon, having only been set up in March by film producers Michael Henry and Chris Hunt.
Despite drawing 50,000 fans to Cardiff's Millennium Stadium, to see performances from global stars including Beyonce, Christina Aguilera and Smokey Robinson, the concert was beset by difficulties in the organising process.
Several members of Jackson's family boycotted the gig, stating that they felt it was very ill-timed, as it was taking place in the middle of the criminal trial of Dr Conrad Murray, Jackson's doctor, who has since been convicted of involuntary manslaughter of the singer.
A spokesman for the famed Cardiff stadium said that they were not owed any money by Global Events, which had paid up in full for the event when it was booked.
A spokesman for Mr Henry, who also heads up the film financing company, Limelight Film Finance, told the media on the weekend, "All enquiries about Global Events should be made to the administrators."
It is understood that the business review being carried out by the administrators will look to see how much of the business can be sold on.
