One of the most historic buildings in Droitwich Spa's city centre is up for sale following the administration of its owner, the Impney Group Limited.
The Raven Hotel – which has now been closed since the start of 2010 after its owner went into administration at the end of 2009, is finally seeking a buyer.
Colliers International's hotel team is handling the sale of the 16th century hotel on behalf of administrators BDO in Birmingham, and has put it on the market with a price tag of £1.75 million.
Colliers International's Peter Brunt told the Droitwich Advertiser, “The Raven ceased trading at the beginning of 2010 but has remained occupied by staff at Chateau Impney, mothballed and ready for sale and re-opening. With 72 bedrooms and wonderfully flexible and spacious function and meeting space this lovely hotel is now being offered for sale.
“In my view it was never fully exploited as a hotel in its own right and it will make a wonderful addition to a company’s portfolio or a tremendous stand-alone business for an hotelier or entrepreneur,” he added.
The asking price includes the freehold of the hotel plus its entire trade contents. Adjacent land and ancillary accommodation could also be sold separately should the purchaser be interested.
