Credit hire reporting business Autofocus has been placed in to administration, after being entangled in a legal dispute with rival credit hire company Accident Exchange for a year.
Paul Boyle and John Sallabank of Harrisons were brought in to act as the administrators shortly before the High Court was due to set the dates for its court case with Accident Exchange.
The administrators are to continue to trade the business in the short term, while they endeavour to identify a buyer for the operations and assets.
In a statement, Autofocus said: “The joint administrators are intending to trade the business throughout the marketing period in order to maintain a continuous and seamless service to the customers and end users.”
Autofocus specialises in management support for the automotive industry including due diligence, market research, expert witness and mystery shopping services.
