Clark Construction is the latest building firm to fall victim to the downturn in the construction industry.
The North Lincolnshire business has ceased trading with the loss of its entire workforce of 60. John Russell and Christopher White have been called in to act as the administrators.
The business had been affected by the broad decline in the industry and the bad weather before the Christmas period.
Joint administrator Mr Russell urged businesses to learn from the example of this firm's unfortunate situation. "The earlier you can bring in an expert to provide an external opinion, the better chance of either refinancing or turning around the business," he said.
Clark Construction had worked on numerous large high profile projects including the £15 million site at RAF Coningsby for Typhoon fighter jets. This project was the largest undertaken by the company and was finished in late 2009.
Other projects included warehouses, university extensions, fire stations, local government buildings and office and residential developments.
Founded in 1979, the firm specialised in building and civil engineering projects. It had won a RoSPA Gold Award for the last six years running.
