A bespoke kitchen fitting firm has ceased trading while administrators seek a potential buyer.
Chantry Kitchens, based in North Yorkshire, is an upmarket kitchen manufacturer and installer established in 1993. Its two showrooms are in Harrogate and Tockwith. Julian Pitts and Nick Reed of Begbies Traynor in Leeds were appointed joint administrators on 30 January.
The firm has ceased all trading while the administrators seek a new buyer, and all 18 of its staff including two directors were made redundant. The family-owned company was headed up by managing director Graham Ware, while son Marcus acted as operations director.
Their main customer base was from Yorkshire's so-called Golden Triangle, with other orders coming from right across the UK.
Joint administrator Julian Pitts said: “Unfortunately, the business ran into problems when it failed to generate sufficient orders going forward and encountered cash flow difficulties.
“We have been marketing the business since our appointment and, following discussions with several interested parties for the sale of some of the business' assets, we anticipate concluding a sale in the near future.”
