The Lavin family has purchased luxury hotel Aston Hall after spending nearly two years in administration.
The Lavin family bought the hotel for an undisclosed sum to add to their two hotels in Nottinghamshire and Oxfordshire. Aston Hall will be run by managing director Andrew Lavin, who commented, “We are delighted to have purchased this hotel. It is a grade ll* listed building situated in a conservation area with so much character and many unique features.”
Julian Rowden at Taylor&Emmet advised the family on the deal and commented, “The venue is highly regarded locally and benefits from beautiful architecture, good facilities and a convenient village location, close to the M1 motorway. I have no doubt that it will be an important addition to the Lavin family’s property portfolio.”
All staff at Aston Hall are being retained, and manager Raquel Silva will continue to run the hotel on a daily basis.
The previous owner of Aston Hall Hotel, Tomahawk Hotels, had entered administration in 2010.
Aston Hall was built in 1772, and features 52 bedrooms and suites, several meeting rooms and a banqueting suite within 55 acres of gardens and meadowland.
