Workwear manufacturer Sorsky, based in Widnes in Cheshire, has been placed into administration.
The firm supplies clothing, personal protective equipment and hygiene products to a range of industries.
The administrators, Paul Flint and Brian Green of KPMG Restructuring, have made 25 of the 40-strong workforce redundant. The remaining 15 staff have been retained by the administrators.
Joint administrator Paul Flint commented on their intentions for the company: “We are continuing to try and trade the business while we seek a going concern sale for the business and its assets. Any interested parties should contact us as soon as possible.”
Established in 1919, the family-owned Sorsky is a member of the Yeoward Group of Companies, with three distribution bases in the UK and a head office in Tanhouse Estate, Widnes.
Sorsky’s services include stock and logistics management ensuring fast delivery, an expanding product range, advice on product selection and a computer-based order tracking system.
